Laser photo rejuvenation refers to the following group of services:

What happens during a Laser Photo Rejuvenation treatment?

The skin is cleansed and all present in the room are given eye protection to wear during the procedure. The laser we use has an integrated cooling and skin protection system so no topical numbing creams are needed. One of our skilled providers will outline the treatment area and gently place the laser handpiece against the skin. The handpiece is moved during treatment to ensure that the laser treats the entire area. Short laser pulses are delivered and our patients feel a warm tingling sensation.

When will I see results?

This depends on what you are trying to treat. For eliminating pigment changes, you will notice that the areas treated will begin to fade after the first treatment. Multiple treatments (3-5) are advised to completely eliminate the spots treated.

For stretch marks, the stimulation of collagen and elastin helps to tighten the skin reducing their appearance. Multiple treatments (3-5) are recommended to completely lighten and tighten the areas.

How long will these results last?

Because the laser is stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis within the skin structure, this is a holistic approach to solving common skin concerns. If you are correcting pigmented spots, the treatment is permanent but you must be careful about returning to the sun again. Wear SPF and appropriate sun protection to prevent the spots from returning. If you are correcting stretch marks, then these results are permanent as well provided that there is not a significant weight gain or loss to the area that might cause them to return.
