BBL Laser FAQ

What is BBL Laser Treatment and what does it treat?

BBL (BroadBand Light) is a non-invasive light treatment used to target sun damage, brown spots, redness, visible scarring, freckles, broken capillaries, and uneven skin tone, while also stimulating collagen for clearer, smoother-looking skin.

What areas are best for BBL treatments?

BBL can be used anywhere on the body, and it’s commonly done on the face, neck, chest, and hands. It can also be used for scar treatment, and the page notes treatment may begin about 8 weeks post-op for scars.

What can I expect during a BBL session?

A skincare consultation is done first, photos are taken for progress tracking, the skin is cleansed, a cool gel is applied, and then the provider delivers pulses of light over the area. A full-face session is typically around 30 minutes.

How many BBL treatments do I need?

Many patients see improvement after one session, but best results typically come from a series of 3–5 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance may be 2–3 times per year depending on goals.

Is there downtime or pain, and how long do results last?

The page notes little to no downtime, with many people returning to normal activities (and even applying makeup) the same day. Sensation is often compared to a rubber band snap. Results are described as long-lasting with good skincare and sun protection.
