FAQ

Sounds too good to be true, how does it work?

During your appointment, your injector will take photos and assess your desired areas to identify the deepest cellulite dimples and mark them for treatment. Each QWO treatment at Capizzi MD addresses up to 24 dimples.

QWO works by targeting the fibrous septa, which are the primary structural cause of cellulite in our skin. When those are dissolved over the course of the treatment experience, the skin loses its dimpled appearance.

Who is a good candidate for this treatment?

You may be a good candidate for this treatment if you are a person with moderate to severe cellulite on your buttocks, thighs, lower abdomen, or arms.

Injections sound painful, how is it administered?

A full treatment experience requires three appointments, spaced three weeks apart. This is a strict schedule that must be adhered to for optimal results. At Capizzi MD, we price these three appointments together and make sure to work around your schedule for the best outcome. We treat up to 24 of your most present dimples at each treatment, sticking with the same area as you originally treated for a full-coverage effect.

What are the side effects of this cellulite treatment?

The main side effect of QWO is moderate bruising. Your injector will thoroughly discuss this side effect and what you can expect to see over the next week. We WANT to see bruising, as it means the injectable is working and the cellulite is being resolved. This bruising improves with each treatment and resolves itself faster.

What will my experience be like?

First, our provider will begin with a gentle cleansing to ensure any makeup or product is removed from your face. Then, a cool gel will be applied to assist the device in moving around on your skin. Once your skin has been prepped, your provider will begin administering the treatment by running the device along your skin as it pulses light.

Another common side effect is soreness and tenderness at the injection site that typically resolves in 1-2 days.

How long do results last?

Currently we have not seen any patients that required re-treatment or maintenance treatments.

Can QWO be combined with other procedures?

QWO can be used following liposuction as most fat-reducing procedures are unable to address cellulite. Or with Profound Skin Tightening to tighten skin and resolve cellulite. It could also be used with Sculptra® Gluteal Filler for added volume and smoothness.
